Uralla - Level 1 Water Restrictions from 6 February 2019
Due to dry conditions the volume of Kentucky Creek Dam has dropped to below 74%. Uralla will commence Level 1 water restrictions on Wednesday 6 February 2019.
The implications of Level 1 water restrictions for residents are that:
- Hand held hoses and drip irrigation systems should not be used between 10 am – 5 pm
- Sprinklers are permitted for a maximum of 2 hours a day before 10 am or after 5 pm
- Cleaning hard surfaces with a hand held hose is not permitted at any time
- Vehicle washing with buckets is permitted at any time
Council staff will continue to monitor the situation and will update the community should conditions change. Please contact Council on 6778 6300 should you have any questions or concerns.
Pioneer Park Redevelopment Feedback
A brief reminder that all community members have been asked to respond to a survey recently delivered to all households asking for feedback on the plans for improvements to Pioneer Park.
As the survey due date is this Thursday, 20th September, it's important that people who have given thought to these options, respond accordingly to the survey.
It's important for concerned members of the Uralla community to consider supporting and maintaining Pioneer Park as a Heritage venue given the strategic and small size location in a the centre of our historical town.
For those interested, please find the Feedback Form here. You can then send it to council by Thursday by mail, fax, email or hand deliver. (Suggest email to or )
Council's notification re this:
"Pioneer Park Redevelopment Feedback.
Council applied to the State Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund to redevelop Pioneer Park. The proposal is for a master-planned, substantial, multi-age group adventure play facility. It will incorporate swings, rope challenges, slides and other contemporary equipment, safety fencing around the active play component, landscaping, lighting, seating, shade structures and water bubblers.
The funding has been granted by the State Government.
A second phase of the redevelopment, yet unfunded, is intended to include interpretative heritage elements.
Council has resolved to seek community submissions about the two design options that have been prepared for the redevelopment."
