Dear Members,
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has created a difficult and complex business environment for all organisation.
Whilst it all appears to be overwhelming at times, please rest assure that you are not in this alone – we’re right beside you as business owners, and as the chamber of commerce.
Whilst the Government continues to alter its response to the pandemic, to save spreading false news the Uralla Chamber will only be distributing critical information. I would encourage you all review the governments website which outlines support and requirements to continue trading: https://www.australia.gov.au/
The Chamber Movement, through Uralla Business Chamber and Business NSW (formerly NSW Business Chamber) has created a variety of tools and advice for those businesses who have joined us as full members. These range from letters to your landlord through to how to stand employees down if you’re unable to trade. Please also use your free advice line calls to their hotline and/or lawyers – 13 26 96. These can also be accessed free of charge (although registration is required) online at: https://www.businessaustralia.com/how-we-help/our-services/coronavirus-business-resources
During this time, we ask that as a community we support each other. Please check in on your neighbour, your friends and your family. If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed or down, and do not have someone to talk to, please contact the NSW Mental Health Line 1800 011 511, Lifeline 131 114 or Beyond Blue 1300 22 46 36 (full list of providers available here https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/mentalhealth/services/Pages/support-contact-list.aspx)
We’re in this together, and together we will make it through to the other side.
